Nguyen Quang Trung

Trung earned his bachelor’s degree from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, majored in Electrical System Engineering. He was certified as Cisco Inter-Network Expert (one of the most technically advanced and hardest IT certification in the world). Trung can communicate in Vietnamese, English and French.

Trung has over 9 years of working experience in IT Services industry. He joined FPT Communications in 2002 as a Technical Engineer and subsequently, IT Specialist. In 2004, Trung co-founded IT Education Institute (IPMAC) and was a Senior Instructor and Vice Director of the Institute. During the time at IPMAC, Trung assumed a wide-varying range of responsibilities including building the training curriculum, training the trainers, developing business plan and handling daily operation. In 2007, Trung joined Phoenix Capital Corporation and led Finasys- a technology arm of the firm, until 2009, as CEO and an equity partner. Trung was involved in designing the company’s business model and played important roles in establishing its partners channel in the region. Trung recently joined the Global Technology Services Group at IBM as a Senior Advisory I/T Services Specialist. Trung was involved in enabling Network Security Optimization Services in Vietnam and providing IT consulting services to IBM’s customers in Financial Services Sector as well as General Business.

He is attending his MBA course in ROSS School of Management this fall.
